Carla Perkins

Carla started her dance career as most dancers do:  Tap, Jazz, & Ballet - which lasted about five minutes.  Fortunately, not long after, she discovered a much better personality fit in Appalachian-style clogging which she continued through college while earning her BA with a Theatre concentration. During her time with the Wolfpack Clogging Team from NC State, she was able to travel extensively to compete (and win!), performing all over the Eastern US as well as a number of venues in Europe.

Several years ago, she was lucky enough to discover Ballroom dancing and has come to love it just as much!  She has been dancing, performing, and competing in the style for more than five years and has now joined the staff of Carolina Ballroom of Cary to share her passion for performance and this amazing dance genre.
